Fully automatic GoA4 shunting locomotive: DB Cargo chooses Railergy for development and approval
DB Cargo AG operates single wagon transport throughout Germany. Single wagon transport is characterised by the coupling and uncoupling of individual wagons or groups of wagons at hubs (train formation facilities) within Germany. In order to make rail freight transport more competitive, the activities of the shunting locomotives in DB Cargo’s train formation facilities (ZBA) are to be fully automated.
