Current considerations on the further development of ETCS localisation
Vehicle localisation using ETCS (E uropean Train Control System) is safe and available, but relatively inaccurate if balises a re not installed in the track r egularly . S ince this causes costs , the further development of ETCS localisation is being pursued in various projects.
