Dear readers, an important milestone has been achieved in the development of the new FRMCS railway radio system. The FP2 Morane 2 project was officially launched on 1 December 2024, as the UIC railway association announced in its capacity as the project coordinator. The tests will now take place under real conditions in three European laboratories over 34 months. They constitute an essential step along the way to achieving market-ready specifications, the new version of which should reflect the Control-command and signalling TSI (TSI CCS) in 2027....
