Product lifecycle management for railway signalling
As the railway signalling infrastructure and especially interlockings have technologically increasingly become computer-based since the late 1980s, their components have been procured from the global electronics industry with a multitude of suppliers and their supply chains. The increased complexity of the systems and their supply chains requires a heightened attention to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). PLM is a strategic concept for managing various engineering tasks of a product during its lifecycle.
