Deployment of ERTMS/ETCS Level 1 on Infrabel’s conventional network
According to Infrabel’s ambitious ETCS Master Plan, ETCS Level 1 full supervision must be deployed on several lines of the Belgian Railways. In order to achieve efficiency and standardization, it was decided to build an ETCS Level 1 Generic Case providing all the guidelines and design rules for the production of any specific ETCS Level 1 project. After successful assessment by an ISA/Nobo, the Generic Case was granted an ISOC (Interim Statement Of Conformity) supporting the statement that the functional, safety and interoperability requirements are fulfilled.
