Neue Frästechnologie in Japan
Rail milling has been established as maintenance technology alongside grinding. A precise analysis of both technologies shows, that milling can be used either complementary or disruptive to grinding depending on the individual case. Three rail millings, type Romill, were recently delivered to two network operators in Japan. This innovative milling technology is used both regeneratively and as a cyclical preventive measure to increase the service-life of main and branch lines.
