Sweden 1: Study on better WiFi reception on trains
The Swedish Post and Telecommunications Authority (PST) is to investigate how to improve the Internet connection on trains. The equivalent of €4.9 million will be made available to the PST. The funds will be used mainly on heavily used lines such as Stockholm - Gothenburg. The Swedish government wants to increase rail travel for climate change reasons and good internet access is a key factor in the choice of transport. (hz/cm)
