Challenges in GSM-R to FRMCS migration
The Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) is the working title for the second generation of a common European digital radio system for railway operations. This new standard will gradually replace today’s digital GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communications – Rail) train radio system in the 2020s and 2030s.
