On 30 June 2020, the working group of the Future Rail Alliance (Zukunftsbündnis Schiene) published its final report which constitutes the basis for the content of the Rail Traffic Master Plan of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. The Master Plan, which sets out a framework for the future development of rail-bound transport in Germany, was also published on 30 June. As such the target regular interval timetable plan for Germany constitutes the basis for any future new construction and expansion work and the best possible use of the rail infrastructure, as set out in the study....
