New trends in ETCS Level 1
If one follows the modern operating management strategies of rail operators which are aimed at achieving a very high degree of automation in order to increase efficiency and to save costs, modern train control systems such as ETCS Level 2 and also ETCS Level 3 in combination with driver advisory systems (DAS) and automatic train operation (ATO) will be the central focus in the future. Despite this, however, the roll-out of the ETCS Level 1 system in the world market is still running at top speed, just as before....
