5G-RACOM – field study on hybrid FRMCS networks for resilient rail communications

The German-French 5G-RACOM innovation project is investigating the efficient, reliable and sustainable use of the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) and its frequency spectrum. As the successor to GSM-R, FRMCS will ensure high-performance and real-time train-to-ground communication based on 5G, thereby enabling railway digitalisation.
