Netherlands: ProRail, Lineas and Alstom test automatic shunting according to GoA4
The Dutch infrastructure manager ProRail, together with the freight railways Lineas and Alstom, will carry out a trial of automatic shunting. The aim is to show how operations can be optimised by fully automatic trains in view of the growing demand for shunting operations. The tests on ATO (Automatic Train Operation) are to be carried out in 2021 at the highest level of automation GoA4 in a marshalling yard.
