CBTC signalling technology for Buenos Aires metro

Siemens Mobility has received an order from the municipal infrastructure company Subterráneos de Buenos Aires, Sociedad del Estado (SBASE) to install a communications-based train control system (CBTC) on Metro Line D in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The entire 11-kilometer route with 16 stops - from "Catedral" on the historic Plaza de Mayo to "Congreso de Tucumán" near the northern city limits - will be fully equipped with Trainguard MT CBTC signaling technology. The scope of services includes the installation of onboard units in 24 existing vehicles as well as a radio system, electronic interlockings and trackside equipment....
