Optimisation processes to assist with the fine compilation of timetables

On the railways, timetables are created in a process that runs through several stages, and the final product is a definitive, detailed, conflict-free timetable. Given that compiling a timetable manually can be very labour-intensive and time-consuming, OptKon has now been developed as an automated compilation process to support timetablers in the tasks they have to perform.
