Wayside Train Monitoring Systems and their potentials
I would like to take this opportunity to look at some of the new developments and possibilities in the area of WTMS. Nowadays, Wayside Track Monitoring Systems (WTMS) no longer simply detect and report train alarms, but they also provide train-related data and further information, which is convincing increasing numbers of operators of their potential and areas of application.
