Train driver requirements for an Advanced Driver Advisory System
An Advanced Driver Advisory System (ADAS) is being implemented as a prototype in the “FASaN – Driver Advisory Systems adaptive sustainability in railway operations” research project and validated with data from real operations. The partners are the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn GmbH (ODEG), ETC Solutions GmbH and INAVET – Institut für angewandte Verkehrstelematik GmbH. This article is about the requirements that train drivers have with regard to such an ADAS.
