Easier migration towards CBTC systems
No signalling system migration is ever truly easy. Nevertheless, there are more and less complex approaches to the challenges of migration when moving to a Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) system. Many urban signalling systems are approaching end-of-life conditions, which has given rise to increasing interest in and scrutiny of approaches to signalling system migration. In this article, we intend to consider potential options to ease the migration pains.
